Find the legal books YOU need at Ballymun's Law Library!
Law books are usually very expensive and often unavailable to the public, which makes it extremely difficult for people to access the information they need. However, thanks to generous donations from Griffith College and the Law Society of Ireland, law books are now available to the general public to access at Ballymun Community Law Centre. Stop by and find the books you need, today!
How it began
As part of the first Community Law Festival in Ireland and the Centre's own 10th Anniversary Celebrations in 2012, the first ever pop-up Law Library was opened in Ballymun with books kindly donated by the Law Society. This "pop-up" Law Library was a new initiative. Its success sparked the imagination of Griffith College, which ensured a steady stream of up-to-date legal books would be available to the community of Ballymun. Since those auspicious beginnings, Griffith College has agreed to contribute surplus legal books on an ongoing basis. Similarly, the Law Society Library has continued to donate generously.
A sincere thank you to Dean David Langwallner and Griffith College as well as The Law Society of Ireland for this very generous contribution to the Centre and the community in Ballymun.
