A student volunteer's story
Date:22.09.2017Rita Donovan has spent the last three weeks working alongside staff at the Law Centre gaining invaluable insights into community law in practice. Read Rita's comments on her time with the Centre below.
“I have spent three weeks working as a Volunteer in Ballymun Community Law Centre as part of a Clinical Legal Education Programme which I am undertaking in college. I have had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of areas of law, including housing, employment etc, as well as undertake practical work experience which has greatly increased my knowledge of law and the legal system. I was privileged to witness and be involved in the wonderful work which the staff here do every day. I know that the experience which I have gained over the course of these three weeks will prove invaluable to me, both in my degree and in my future career”.
