Law Society's New Member LogoDate:14.06.2017
Look out for the Law Society of Ireland member badge, which ensures that your solicitor is part of a regulated body and carries out their work under their oversight.
The Law Society introduced a new member logo, designed to distinguish practicing solicitors, who choose to use it, from other professionals and non-professionals.
The new logo features an image of Lady Justice - blindfolded and holding a scales of justice. It has been introduced for use on firm stationery, websites, solicitor member business cards and various other marketing materials. It represents the benefits and protections clients enjoy every time they use a solicitor.
Accordingly, it is a symbol of trust, knowledge, regulation, insured protection, professionalism, qualification and legal learning.
It is available to all practicing certificate holders who are also current members of the Law Society. Use of the logo is entirely voluntary however so solicitors to not have to display the logo.
The Law Society also provides other valuable resources to assist the public find and use solicitors. These may be found on the Find a Solicitor Resource on the Law Society of Ireland's website.
